The US claimed the Saudis were lying through their teeth about Iraq…

The extent to which US and Saudi relations had deteriorated to was exposed for the first time recently when Washington accused Riyadh of working to undermine the Iraqi government.

The Bush administration warned the Saudis, until recently one of its closest allies, to stop undermining the Iraq prime minister, Nouri al-Maliki.

The US made public claims that the Saudis had been distributing fake documents lying about Maliki.

The US and British Governments have told the Saudis that the establishment of a stable government was in their best interests and that they stand to suffer if it collapses.

Apparently relations have been strained since King Abdullah unexpectedly criticised the US , describing the US invasion as an illegal foreign invasion.

It was even suggested the underlying factor may be that the US is now less dependant on Saudi oil - it has Iraqi supplies to rely on. Who know’s the real facts here.

A trifecta of laughs: the doctor, the marine biologist and the thief.

1/ The doctor: A man rushed into a busy doctor’s surgery and shouted, “Doctor I think I’m shrinking!” The doctor calmly responded,” Now settle down. You will just have to be a little patient.”

2/ The marine biologist: A marine biologist developed a race of genetically engineered porpoises that could live forever if they were fed a steady diet of seagulls. One day his supply of the seabirds ran out so he had to go out and trap some more. On the way back he spied two lions asleep on the road. Afraid of waking them, he gingerly stepped over them.He was immediately arrested and charged with transporting gulls across sedate lions for immortal porpoises.

3/ The thief: A thief broke into the local police station and stole all the toilets and urinals, leaving no clues. A spokesman was quoted as saying, “We are worried because we have nothing to go on.”

Sometimes truth can be stranger than fiction...

A two year old girl born with four arms and legs in northern india, is set to undergo extensive surgery in southern India to remove those extra limbs.

The girl, named Lakshmi allegedly after the Hindu God of wealth, is joined to a ’parasitic twin’, who stopped developing in the womb.

The surviving foetus absorbed parts of the undeveloved foetus. This extremely rare condition is known as isciopagus. Some villagers in the northern state of Bihar revere her as a goddess.

A team of 30 doctors will be involved in the extensive surgery in Banglalore. The complications are myriad: two spines have merged; she has four kidneys; entangled nerves; two stomach cavities and two chest cavaties. She cannot stand or walk.

It has been reported that a homophobic American church has been ordered to pay US$10 million in damages to the relatives of a fallen American marine after church members cheered his death at his funeral.

The federal jury in Baltimore determined that the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, and three of its principals invaded the privacy of the dead man's family and inflicted emotional stress at his funeral.

Marine Lance Corporal Matthew Snyder died in combat in Iraq in March 2006.

He didn't drown in some obscure gay sauna in San Francisco - he was killed in combat in Iraq.

In any case his bereaved father testified that his late son was not gay anyway, but this particular church ( perhaps its the Church of Satan I have written about)has targeted the military as a symbol of America's tolerance towards gays.

Church members said the soldier's death was punishment for America's tolerance of homosexuality. Give me breath, America, if this is an example of your country's religion?

All I can say personally is that it is not the God I know, if of course this was true. Jesus Christ would have condemned that church and its members outright!
