Time is Running Out - Join Qassia Now ...

Time is running out - join the internet site Qassia now while it is still in private beta and opportunities begin to diminish.

I'm glad I joined Qassia nearly two weeks ago and have made quiet and good progress; earning Qassia dollars which will be able to be exchanged for services later on through referrals; submitting intel (written contributions);screening(surveying other's intel).

I have noticed that most of my referrals have taken little or no part in the program. Thats their prerogative: You can lead a horse to water but you can"t make it drink.

  • Sir Edmund Hillary - conqueror of Everest died on Friday...

The conqueror of Mount Everest has died. The giant of the forest has fallen!

New Zealand mourns the death of Sir Edmund Hillary, arguably the greatest New Zealander in living memory; he died last Friday of a heart attack at Auckland Hospital after a long illness. He was 88 years old.

Sir Edmund Hillary was the first person to climb Mount Everest, in 1953, accompanied by Sherpa Tenzing Norgay. He is also a living legend in Nepal where he set up a trust in the 1960's to build hospitals and schools in the kingdom.

He has been described as an inspiration to millions. He was the first New Zealander to appear on New Zealand currency. He will appear on a new $5.00 note here.

He was originally a beekeeper in the North Island and reportedly financed his mountaineering trips from that activity. He started his climbing in NZ of Mount Cook and then overseas to Nepal.

Sir Ed's exploits overshadowed the coronation of Queen Elizabeth the Second in 1953, and for his comments on radio of " I knocked the bastard off !" He was also well known for his adventuring activities in Antarctica where he transversed the continent in a tractor.

His legacy will live on. His exploits were classic 'boys own' and will continue to inspire generations of New Zealanders to come. He is almost venerated by Nepalese of his generation.

He was also a former NZ High Commissioner to India in the 1980's. He will receive a state funeral normaly reserved for prime ministers who die in office, or former Governors General. He was a New Zealand icon who died in office.

  • Time for the bathtub test friends...

Sometimes we take ourselves and our lives a little too seriously. That is the time to find something to make us relax a little and have a good laugh. Read on my friends.

During a visit to the mental asylum, a visitor asked the Director how do you determine whether or not a patient should be institutionalized.

"Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a
teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub."

"Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would use the
bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."

"No." said the Director, "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed near the window?"

  • The Blogcharm blogsite has collapsed and closed down...

The Blogcharm blogsite has been closed down as of New Year's. I wasn't aware of too many problems with this site, apart from minor payment ones. It was involved with the Blogexplosion site in the past. Blogexplosion was sold during 2007.

There was no indication that the site could be shutting down. Both Writing Up and Blogfeast had problems during their last few months; both crashing at times. Then they closed down. John Jonas was accused of legal matters at one stage before WU closed down., It actually came up for another couple of breaths before disappearing into the depths of the blogespheric Styx River. Blogfeast actually let their domain name expire. How extremely amateur, for Christ sake!

I lost more posts with this closure - I don't blame anybody but myself. I should have backed them up.

I have now had about four sites collapse under me. Such is life!
