Making Huttriver more popular...

How do I make Huttriver more popular, get more readers and make it a blogsite you want to return to on a regular basis?

Well I have two groups attached to this blog and if I haven't personally invited you to join up, then you have an open invitation to do so. And if you are a visitor not affiliated to blog.co.uk, you would have to open a blog first before you could join the group. Even a blog on how to grow and cultivate vegetables would do. LOL. Just joking! Any subject you have an interest in really.

I have posted interesting stories on a wide range of topics since 2006. It is only in recent years I have encouraged other bloggers to follow my blog as a "friend'. I have a number of blogging friends here at blog.co.uk.

Now do you have any ideas how I could make Huttriver more popular and readable and worthy of comment?

Tell us some jokes about New Zealand.Tell us how the UK looks from there.
Tell us how your family got there ... if you are descended from a convict that would be most intriguing.
I love a writer born in NZ.She's called Stephanie Dowrick.
She lives in Sydney now.
Maybe tell us more authors from NZ?
Photos of unusual flowers?
Join Facebook and send your posts there now and then...
your friends might look.I put some there.Photos on there are good for sharing.

I notice i get more visitors when I had photos or pictures on or humour.
I sometimes put a link to an interesting article.
Then "visit" others sites.

I think Hutt is good enough already!! But if you insist, then I would suggest telling us more about the culture of New Zealand, the attitudes, the lifestyle, the relationships with the Maoris ... stuff like that.

Hey, thats a big list! Just the sort of thing I was talking about really. I know Huttriver was interesting, but more of a news channel! I use my groups to support my blog. Anzac Bloggers Unite http://anzacbloggersunite.blog.co.uk is my NZ and Aussie blog and Community Bloggers Evolve http://communitybloggersevolve.blog.co.uk is my community blog in which I have written a lot about Christchurch and its earthquake destruction. But I take your point about 'Huttriver'. Very interesting but a bit boring,eh?

I do read as many of them as possible. When I access FB on my phone, I often times can't follow the links. My phone is a really stupid e-phone and it won't allow a site with too many graphics. Your articles are always interesting and timely. Driving traffic to a site is always the problem. Maybe you don't need to change the material, maybe you need to use better tags.
