A number of bloggers here are getting upset at the actions of spammers and sploggers. However having been a blogger on many international sites during the last six or seven years, I have discovered only site Admins can rectify the situation.
I was a member of two community blogging sites that were attacked by these online vermin. Blogevolve.com had an absent Admin and all the genuine bloggers have long gone. Bloggerparty admin was slow to act, losing many good bloggers in the process, but set up defensive processes to act against these vermin. The site has recently been shifted to a Wordpress platform. But sadly, the good bloggers have not returned, moving on to other interests.
However, spammers and sploggers who use the comments section of blogs are the ones most difficult to act against. Spamming bloggers can have their sites deleted. I have had a lot of spamming comments on my three sites here (two are group blogs) and I delete them occasionally. Only the Admin can do anything about them - we have to identify them and send the information to the Admin here.
WE all need to send a message to the site Admin and tell him that we are boycotting the site for 24 hours. I will send a personal message.
